The maritime industry has an important part to play in promoting sustainable practices. Moreover in its impact of harbor operations on the environment and how to reduce this impact through sustainable practices.
Havenbeheer Suriname, APEC, and Port of Antwerp-Bruges International have joined forces to organize a course on ‘Sustainable Development in Ports’, taking place from the 22nd to 24th of August 2023, in Paramaribo, Suriname.
This course covers a range of interesting topics such as energy efficiency, waste reduction, pollution prevention, etc.
The main outcome is for participants to be handed practical strategies and techniques to apply immediately in their own port environment, actively making a positive impact on the port’s sustainability score.
The certificate of completion will demonstrate the port or organization’s commitment to sustainable growth, show expertise in the field, and improve credibility in the logistics sector. This certification was approved by global partners APEC, Port of Antwerp-Bruges International, and IAPH (International Association of Ports and Harbors).
