On April 21 and 22nd the Suriname Port Management Company took part in a South American Port Alliance conference, an initiative of the government of Peru.
The Foreign Minister Hugo de Zela inaugurated a technical session at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters, which would later address various aspects of port control.
This was the Third Technical Meeting of Focal Points for the initiative to establish a South American Ports Alliance. The session aimed at the continuation of the dialogue among participating countries to promote greater cooperation and foster joint solutions to the problem of illicit drug trafficking through the region’s ports.
