The N.V. Havenbeheer Suriname (HBS) and Phoenix Development Holding Company, LLC (PDC), have entered into a partnership to develop port facilities and a special economic zone in the Nickerie district.
The project includes the development of port facilities, a natural gas processing plant, LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) export facilities and an industrial-commercial complex to be designated as a special economic zone. The facilities will be developed on the property to the north of Nieuw Nickerie, which has been allocated by the government of Suriname to N.V. Havenbeheer Suriname.
You are hereby invited to participate in a virtual (online) stakeholder meeting with the aim to be further informed about the proposed project and to give feedback, in order to complete this part of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process.
